family update

Thuy and I went our for a belated 5th year wedding anniversary at a sushi place and ordered a fancy bottle of sake, which turned out to be Japanese Soju/Shochu. Quite different than sake no doubt, but not bad and it reminded me of the times I used to enjoy Korean BBQ with Taesik and Hrishi in Boston. Thuy and I used to go out for Korean BBQ with friends here in Baltimore a little when we just had Tavian but not so much any more.

I started thinking that signing up for facebook would be a good idea but it turns out now that I’ve done it that the maximum length of a post is 420 words or something. So I’m posting here. [Update: I now learn that I can post notes on facebook which would achieve what I wanted. But I lost momentum so back to the blog for now. I guess I’ll link to it in facebook for now.]

The family is, as to be expected, a bit of a mix. The kids are continuing to grow. Tavian is a really good child, and generally fun to hand out with. He’s turning 3 in a couple weeks. Indira is about 18 months and not talking much; mostly she just screams and throws fits to get her way. When in a good mood, she’s an absolute joy to hand out with and has a great sense of humor. She just get’s really upset when she doesn’t get her way. It’s very tiresome. She learned how to climb out of her crib last week, which has made for some serious changes. It’s been fairly nonstop action putting her back in her room as she screams. Repeatedly. For an hour and a half. Twice a day. But I’m happy to report a breakthrough tonight, as she went down without a peep. I await impending torture but hope for the best.

Thinking of reinvigorating the online presence reminded me that I need to download 2GB worth of material from the camera and share it (hopefully only the good parts).
